Family and Community Engagement
We run a weekly FaCE club for parents and their children. We encourage and explore authentic experiences and opportunities for real life skills to be developed. We cover a range of skills including cookery, craft, ICT, social skills and important and prominent calendar events.
We encourage parents to bring their children who may be of non school age and other family members to work together. The club also encourages children to learn and their families have a positive relationship with school staff. The children are better able to help and encourage their children, and their children do better at school. They enjoy building their own confidence and skills.
We strongly feel that Parents, carers and wider family members have a big influence on how well children behave and attain at school. Parents/carers can make fantastic partners. Their unique knowledge about their children and diverse experiences, skills and volunteer time can enrich and strengthen school life. We welcome the children to suggest and drive the direction of the club.
